Leadership
How we began — and where we're headed
We dedicate 100% of the organization’s time to providing programs and services centered on education, outreach and supportive programs and services focused on children and adults as well as their caregivers and providers.
JStoaHS actively seeks partnerships and relationships with organizations and groups that provide similar programs and services to assist in realizing its mission and vision.
How we're funded
Our fundraising efforts include individuals who believe in our mission and how it resonates with them; corporate sponsors and foundations that align with our mission and focus; as well as our own resources, as our Board Members donate a healthy amount of resources to fund programs (i.e. Thanksgiving turkeys, Holiday Care Boxes, etc.).
Our mission
The people behind Jump Start
Founded by three concerned women — Nichole Benson, Kimberly White and Rita Streater — our leadership stays close to the families we serve.
Co-founder of Jump Start to a Healthy Start, Nichole leads the organization's vision — building programs that give families the information and access they need to live healthier lives.
Co-founder and Executive Director, Kimberly oversees day-to-day programs, outreach partnerships and the delivery of meals and workshops in the community.
Rita Streater maintains board meeting minutes, handles legal records, and coordinates all meeting logistics. She also acts as the key liaison between the board and the executive team.
